Meet the Founder Bringing Health Insurance to Entrepreneurs

As I currently enroll 5 founders into the Last Pitch Lab of 2021, I feel called to share a success story from earlier this year of Stacy Edgar of Venteur, Inc., a startup bringing health insurance to the self-employed.

Coming into Pitch Lab, she had a small user base and was looking to raise her first round of capital.

During Pitch Lab, Stacy succeeded in revamping her team, securing brand name partnerships with Covered California and Kaiser Permanente, getting into Techstars (less than 1% acceptance rate), and winning our $10k grant with Splunk Ventures.
A few months later, she is raising a $700k+ pre seed round!

You may wonder how so many things can happen in a matter of weeks - in this interview she talks about how she "slowed down to go faster," allowed the "letting go" of certain aspects of her vision - and her team - and let a newer vision and team come together. The external results just mirrored her inner catalytic transformation from caterpillar to butterfly. THIS is the journey I take every founder through.
