When the Global Economy Collapses We Birth the New Earth

We are on the brink of a financial collapse of all of our institutions including banks and financial intermediaries, and ensuing collapse of our current models of healthcare, education, and all other incumbent institutions and sectors. This is obvious to those who have been alerted by the "cracks" we've seen in recent years including the 2008 financial crisis and the rapid fall of many corporations due to globalization and technology. As a result, we will have to create new models of work (not based on regular employment), thriving and healthy communities, ways to deliver education and healthcare, and ways to share information. With the fall of our institutions, the very fabric of the Internet will change too - technology will start to facilitate a true, distributed, transparent, and democratic system.

This is all to say that what you're building right now matters. And what matters even more is that you OWN the larger vision, the reason for your venture's existence. We are picking up the tools to build new sectors, systems, and industries not as a "good to have," but because it is imperative to create them now.
