Feminine Sales v. Masculine Sales

Hi founders! I’m so excited to bring you LIVE STREAMS with me every day at 2:30pm PST / 5:30pm EST . They are 13 minutes and meant to infuse your day with positive energy and inspiration around feminine leadership, startups and social impact.

Why does the concept of sales repulse or cause "contraction" in so many of us?

The sales process has been highly codified and taught over and over. But the process was primarily created based on the archetype of the white male salesman selling something totally tangible and inconsequential - like a door-to-door salesman selling vacuum cleaners or microwaves. It was created on the premise that we feel comfortable a. pushing ourselves in front of total strangers who may or may not want us there, b. selling something super easy to understand and tangible, with fancy features. The premise is that it's the "thing" that will create the sale, and the salesMAN has to just assertively push himself out there over and over over until someone buys it.

This sounds exhausting (and scary) to most feminine leaders. There are so many reasons why this old-school sales process DOES NOT WORK for most of us, especially when what we are selling is heart-driven, and probably requires a deeper engagement or transformation on the part of the customer or client. There are an incredible number of nuances that we haven't been taught about the sales process, starting with the concept of feminine v. masculine energy.

Masculine energy is penetrative (literally) - it is meant to push itself out there as many times as possible and play the odds. Feminine energy is MAGNETIC. That means that our power lies in our ability to be as bright and vibrant and "seen" as possible, and tend to attract all of our customer and clients in naturally, without having to force it or shove ourselves in people's faces.

Also, because we are selling deeply impactful or socially important "products and services" (not vacuums and microwaves), the entire way that we capture hearts and minds is going to be centered in Self. In our ability to be anchored in our message, what we are here to create, and simply allowing ourselves to be seen and heard, over and over.

Letting go of convincing and persuading (if that stresses or grosses you out) will be the most powerful thing you let go of as a feminine leader. THAT IS NOT NECESSARY. We make the rules - we get to follow our intuition about what feels right to us while doing "sales"!
