How to pick your industry vertical as an early stage startup

 

Regenerative, multi layered solutions for large industries rarely fit into neat boxes. However, if you’re able to pitch it inside the correct verticals and target investors accordingly, you’ll be received much easier.

For example, I had a client who - like so many others - had a SaaS solution, but her target customer was super niche (alarm companies.) Targeting safety infrastructure investors become an easier and more dialed in bet than every SaaS investor under the sun.
