Millenial Mindset in Founders

Hi founders! I’m so excited to bring you LIVE STREAMS with me every day at 2:30pm PST / 5:30pm EST . They are 13 minutes and meant to infuse your day with positive energy and inspiration around feminine leadership, startups and social impact.

Today I'm talking about mindset in the face of a long journey ahead as a startup founder. In our linear world, progress is defined by milestones. But with the world shifting and moving so rapidly, our old definitions of progress, milestones, and success have gone out the window. More likely, you are creating in a *cyclical*, instead of a linear fashion.

Millenials are known to want outcomes fast. This isn't necessarily a bad thing - we understand that the nature of reality is more fluid than our parents and grandparents, and we know we can manifest things more quickly. But sometimes we need to see the larger picture and settle into the natural ebb and flow of growth.

What does this look like in a venture context? It means periods of "inner work" - building your vision, product, team, pilots - and then short bursts of outcomes. The outcomes can be big or small. It doesn't matter. What matters is that you're anchored in a mindset that supports you throughout the WHOLE cycle, over and over - and not just when the outcomes are happening.

This is the most fundamental key to staying perseverant, successful, and optimistic despite any odds that you face as a founder and leader!
