Venture Leaders for Systemic Change: Melissa Barash of Left Tackle Capital
Welcome to my Venture Leaders for Systemic Change series, intimate live streams with the bold women at the forefront of transforming industries, including founders, fund managers, and ecosystem builders.
Today, I'm having an awesome chat with Melissa Barash of Left Tackle Capital, a company that bridges the worlds of fund managers who are women and people of color (WePoc) and bold allocators who understand the future of investing.
They support "heart-aligned asset holders" across the globe and make a case to capital allocators (family offices, pensions, foundations) to place their funds with women and POC fund managers.
This is revolutionary on many accounts, not least of which is that Melissa plays "upstream" in the funding chain, facilitating capital flow to the (more diverse) fund managers who can make better and more holistic decisions while backing the ventures that will shape our future.
